It's 2019!

Happy New Year, friends! We've got some fun things in store for you that are coming soon.

Until then, listen to a throwback from last year, Episode #101: Minka. In it, a man takes on an impossible job: fixing the place you go before you die.

Listen to Episode #101: Minka
Alex says: "You know when you are first dating someone, and they are willing to indulge your interests that they don’t share simply because they just like you so dang much? Well, my wife did that in 2006 when she went with me to go see Slither in the theater. It’s a movie about space worms that crawl into people’s bodies and turn them into hideous tentacled mutated zombies. It’s gross and stupid and self-aware and very, very over the top, and frankly, I’m surprised Sarah didn’t just break up with me, because it's definitely not her speed at all. She’s more of a Pride & Prejudice kinda gal. Anyhow, if you like splatstick (that is not a typo), this movie’s up your alley."
Damiano says: "Alex sent me the new Chantix commercial, and it’s surprisingly good."
Anna recommends the Twitter account @chonkyanimals: "I found this account the other night, and it brought me a lot of joy. It’s just a bunch of photos and videos of chubby animals being chubby. It reminds me of my absolute favorite Youtube video, which is just 30 seconds of a harbor seal hiccuping after eating too much. I am utterly charmed by each and every animal I scroll past, and I hope you will be too."
Heather says, "Every year, I host a New Year’s Day Waffle Buffet, where, hungover or not, I allow dozens of people into my home to get drunk all over again, but this time on carbs (and maybe also 10 bottles of André).

"This time, one option I made was a breakfast taco-inspired waffle with this cornmeal recipe, and it was great. Just add chili powder and smoked paprika to the batter."
