Man, 2017 was a year of years. I admit that I had many down moments. The state of the world and of technology had me questioning the value of Loyal's work. Loyal turned down projects that seemed too straightforward. I felt guilty for encouraging clients to build smaller, more intimate communities or to trade community all together for smarter, better products. Is this what a community person is meant to advocate for?

Yet, now, I feel hopeful for community and comfortable in Loyal's changing priorities. We've found a sweet balance between our work and how we see the world. Some of our skepticism was debunked, and some was proven justified. And, the world is catching up (or, so it seems from our rose-colored echo chamber πŸ˜‰). Equilibrium is on the way.

We have a lot of change coming up for Loyal early next year, including here with this newsletter – stay tuned. Here's to a fruitful 2018!
