Yesterday, I mentioned that I'm working on updating the feeds and website for Devchat.tv

The biggest thing that I've already handled involved a bug in Android 7.0. Apparently, it wouldn't connect to an https connection unless it used an old encryption scheme.

That meant that I had to rework and re-deploy the feed service and media tracking service.

That said, if you've had trouble getting any of the RSS feeds or media, give it another go and let me know if you're having problems. Here's a list of the RSS feeds for the shows we currently produce.
  • JavaScript Jabber: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/js-jabber.rss
  • My JS Story: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/my-js-story.rss
  • All JavaScript Shows: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/JavaScriptJabber.rss
  • Ruby Rogues: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/RubyRoguesOnlyrss
  • My Ruby Story: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/my-ruby-story.rss
  • All Ruby Shows: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/RubyRogues.rss
  • Adventures in Angular: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/AdventuresInAngularOnly.rss
  • My Angular Story: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/my-angular-story.rss
  • All Angular Shows: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/AdventuresInAngular.rss
  • React Native Radio: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/react-native-radio.rss
  • Freelancers' Show: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/TheFreelancersShow.rss
  • iPhreaks Show: https://feeds.feedwrench.com/iPhreaks.rss
I'm also working on updating the website.

A while back, I talked to a lot of listeners to find out what they wanted. It basically came down to a couple of things.

Overwhelmingly, listeners wanted the links to the picks.

Many also wanted links to episodes that cover similar topics across all shows. Especially on episodes about getting started with specific technologies or topics around how to get started with your career.

So, I'm working on getting all the episodes properly tagged and categorized so that I can provide people with lists of related episodes across the episodes. If you are interested in helping with this, please let me know.

Also, I'm going to be updating the show notes to make it easier to get a feel for what the show covers and make sure that the link in the picks and show notes are up-to-date.

Finally, I'm going to make it easier to find links on the podcast to the sponsors, subscription options, and stuff I'm giving away.

If there are specific things you want from the website or go there for something else, please let me know so I can work that into my plan.

I'll let you know what I'm doing with the chat rooms, forums, and conferences tomorrow.

Thanks,
Chuck
