Thumbs up to no more confusion over finding the perfect pillow combination – these one-and-done oversized lumbar pillows from The Citizenry have got you (and your space) covered. Inspired by the geometric patterns used by the Zapotec tribes of the Oaxaca region, these pillows’ structural designs and vibrant colors will instantly up the game of any bed or couch. Handwoven with sheep’s wool and naturally dyed using native plant extracts, each pillow takes three days to complete, all made by a fair trade cooperative of 14 Zapotec women in Oaxaca, Mexico.

It was Elspeth Beard that first lead me on the hunt for female riders who faced the road alone. Here’s her story in the tiniest of nutshells: At 24 years of age, she became the first Englishwoman to ride a motorcycle around the world, a journey spanning 3 years and 54,000km in 1980. With her 1974 BMW R60 that she’d saved up to buy while working in a London pub, she began her journey in New York City, having shipped the bike from England.
