It's finally time (hey spring!) to get reacquainted with my hands-down-favorite warm weather sandal, The Ecuador from Nisolo, the Nashville-based purveyor of quality handmade and ethically produced footwear. The Ecuador, a modern take on the classic "Huarache" sandal, puts ultimate comfort and elevated style at the forefront of its design. Handmade in Peru and featuring interwoven strips of super soft leather alongside a hand cut leather insole, these are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. And it's just as well they age beautifully with wear because the only time I'll be taking them off this season is when I switch between the Almond and Bone pairs (pictured here). Perfect for the traveler, these get-up-and-go shoes are made to outfit adventurous souls with wandering feet.

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster, man.” Ashton Sanders is taking a well-deserved break during a year that has transformed him from an unknown 21-year-old to the star of an Oscar-winning movie. He’s perched on a sofa in a studio on the west side of Chicago, where he is filming his next project, kitted out in an all-black ensemble complete with leather jacket and movie-star shades that he keeps on throughout our interview. His words are interspersed with coughing, symptomatic of an exhausting schedule.
